Offroad training

Another shake down weekend - offroading in the Hafren Forest in Wales - and it didn't rain !!

The idea was to have a few lemonades on Sunday night, followed by some basic training with the Yamaha Offroad training school on small trail bikes, followed by some more lemonade, a slap up dinner, some tall stories, then some offroading on the big bikes.

The reality:
  1. A skinfull of beer, sleeping in a pub, whilst the the local Llanidloes youth reenacted World War 1
  2. A dayout on the small WR Yamahas - where the most important training was demonstrated: to complete a Round-The-World trip, you have to ride with enough care to preserve the bike and to ensure you don't crash ;-)
  3. Another skinfull of beer, with some tall stories over dinner
  4. A fab dayout on the Teneres, riding a mostly Forest fire roads, but also pushing the bikes a little with some single track, some rocky climbs, muddy trails through the forest, some shaley descents, and lots of sunshine.
Group Results:
1 set of bruised ribs
1 trip over the handlebars
1 damagad shoulder
1 sheared starter motor
